Questions about the complete Energy Smart system
What is the main difference between this package and a standard ducted heat pump?
A standard ducted system primarily heats and cools the home. The Energy Smart Package also includes heat-recovery fresh-air ventilation, ZoneIQ room control, Wi-Fi, upgraded R1.0 ducting and the first annual service. More importantly, those parts are designed together rather than added independently.
Can parts of the package be removed?
The package is intended as a complete high-performance solution. Where a component does not suit the home, Bay Breeze can instead design a different ducted solution rather than presenting a reduced package as the same offer.
Does zoning mean every room can have a different temperature?
ZoneIQ allows individual zones to be opened, closed and temperature monitored. The exact number and grouping of zones is designed around the layout, airflow requirements and how the household uses the rooms.
Does Lossnay cool or heat the incoming fresh air?
Lossnay transfers energy between outgoing stale air and incoming fresh air. It reduces the load compared with bringing untreated outdoor air straight inside, while the ducted heat pump provides the main heating and cooling.
Why is R1.0 ducting included?
Ducting runs through roof spaces that can become very hot in summer and cold in winter. Improved insulation helps reduce unwanted energy transfer before conditioned air reaches the rooms.
How much does the package cost?
Pricing is tailored because capacity, home size, roof access, zone count and outlet design vary significantly. Following a site assessment, Bay Breeze provides one clear scope and price for the complete system.
Can the package be installed in an existing home?
Often yes, provided there is suitable roof or service space and practical routes for ducting, ventilation and wiring. A site assessment confirms feasibility before design work begins.
What happens after installation?
The system is commissioned, airflow is balanced and controls are explained. The first annual service is included, and Bay Breeze remains the local point of contact for servicing and support.
